What base platform does Train Beyond LMS use?

Moodle 2.7.12

HOW OFTEN DO UPGRADES OCCUR? (E.G. FROM MOODLE 2.6 TO 2.7)

Upgrades are performed at no charge and are scheduled to occur at a minimum annually and include applying patches to any of Australian Institute of Accreditation’s commercial plugins.

DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS SUPPORT SCORM?

Yes, Train Beyond LMS fully supports SCORM 1.2 and most of the SCORM 2004 standard.

DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS SUPPORT LTI?

Yes, Train Beyond LMS fully supports LTI 1.1 and 2.0

DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS SUPPORT TINCAN (XAPI)?

Partially, the LMS generates events in a TinCan compatible format and can be extended to receive or export TinCan formatted statements.

ON WHAT DEVICES CAN TRAIN BEYOND LMS BE USED?

The LMS can be used on desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones through responsive design. It has been tested on all major desktop browsers and both iOS and Android devices.

HOW ARE NEW USERS ADDED TO THE SYSTEM?

Typically a CSV file is provided from HRIS that is then synchronised by the LMS. It is also possible to provide web services for your IT team to develop triggers from HRIS if required. If access is required before a user is entered in the HRIS, this can be supported once we understand the process for matching that user to their HRIS profile once available.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A USER FORGETS THEIR PASSWORD?

Users can request their password to be reset directly from their login page.

DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS HAVE THE ABILITY TO EMAIL REMINDERS FOR COMPLETION OF MODULES?

Yes! The notifications and email text are fully configurable.

CAN THE TRAIN BEYOND LMS AUTOMATICALLY GENERATE EMAILS TO WHEN A LEARNER COMPLETES A COURSE, AND POTENTIALLY SUGGEST TO THEM OTHER MODULES THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST?

CAN ADMINISTRATION SEND COMMUNICATION, REMINDERS AND EVENT DETAILS TO INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS?

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR LEARNERS TO REGISTER AND ENROL USING THE TRAIN BEYOND LMS?

There are several options available, and we can configure workflows to support your business needs, including integration with an external tools or e-commerce sites.

CAN DOCUMENTS BE UPLOADED AND READ, OR IS EVERYTHING ONLINE CONTENT ONLY?

Yes, you can upload documents, and drag and drop file management is supported.

DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS ALLOW THE INTERFACE TO BE PERSONALISED AND CHANGE THE LOOK AND FEEL WHEN NEEDED?

Yes, you have options to control how you would like to customise the appearance of your theme. Australian Institute of Accreditation are also able to provide bespoke theming work if required.

CAN ADMINISTRATION CREATE/RUN AD HOC REPORTS QUICKLY?

Yes!

DOES THE LMS ALLOW FOR FILTERING OF DATA AND EXPORTING EASILY?

Yes! All reports are provided in an export friendly format for Excel such as .csv

DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS ALLOW ADMINISTRATION TO SET PASSING SCORES FOR ASSESSMENTS/TESTS?

IS THE TRAIN BEYOND LMS SCALABLE?

Yes! We have a plan size that will suit your business and you can upgrade your plan as you grow your business.

WHAT IS AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF ACCREDITATION’S BACKUP POLICY?

Standard backup policy is 4 daily backups, 4 weekly backups, 6 monthly backups. Primary backups for Disaster recovery purposes are stored in 3 locations, with archived material available from a single off-site location.

WHAT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) REQUIREMENTS DOES TRAIN BEYOND LMS HAVE?

Our LMS is a cloud based service, which means that you do not have to implement any additional infrastructure. Access to the LMS only requires a computer/tablet or smartphone and internet access.
